This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This privately operated reference cannot confirm process, recall a warrant, accept bond, arrange surrender, or provide legal advice. Contact the issuing court about a case and the Sheriff's Office about service or custody.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Choose the office by the question, not just by the word “warrant.” The court clerk can read the case file; the sheriff can route a service or custody matter.
- Case or process status: search OCIS, then call the issuing clerk. The combined General District/JDR Clerk is 540-965-1720; the Circuit Clerk is 540-965-1730.
- A missed traffic or misdemeanor date: ask the combined clerk whether the record shows a capias, show-cause summons, or FTA warrant.
- Felony or Circuit file: contact the Clerk of the Circuit Court about the case number, process, hearing, or filed order.
- Service or custody: call the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office at 540-965-1770 or the Regional Jail at 540-965-1776.
- City police routing: Covington Police non-emergency is 540-965-6333; Clifton Forge Police is 540-863-2513. These are not advertised as warrant hotlines.
